EASYJET ANNOUNCES NEW FLIGHTS FROM BELFAST CITY AIRPORT TO LONDON SOUTHEND AIRPORT

06/05/2026

easyJet, Northern Ireland’s largest airline, has today announced the launch of a new winter route from Belfast City Airport to London Southend Airport.

Flights will take off for the first time on 25th October 2026 and will operate three times a week on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The new route joins easyJet’s existing domestic network from Belfast City Airport, which includes services to Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, London Gatwick, London Luton, and Manchester, strengthening its UK network and offering customers more choice when travelling between Northern Ireland, Essex, and the wider South East, whether for business or leisure.

Seats are now on sale at easyJet.com and via the easyJet mobile app, with fares starting from £18.99*.

London city break packages can be booked with easyJet holidays and include flights and hotel. All packages benefit from easyJet holidays’ Ultimate Flexibility which includes the freedom to change or cancel, as well as a Best Price Guarantee.

Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said:

“We’re pleased to be putting this new route and packages from Belfast City Airport to London Southend on sale, providing our customers in Northern Ireland with another convenient connection to London and the South East.

“We are committed to offering customers greater choice and exceptional value, always aiming to make travel easy, and we look forward to welcoming more passengers onboard this winter.”

Katy Best, Chief Commercial Officer at Belfast City Airport, said:

“The addition of easyJet’s route from Belfast City Airport to Southend Airport will provide further choice and convenience for passengers, enhancing our connectivity with London, Essex, and the wider Southeast of England.

“As we celebrate five years of partnership with easyJet in 2026, we are delighted to see it extend its network and reaffirm its long-term commitment to Belfast City Airport, where passengers benefit from an efficient and hassle-free travel experience at the heart of the city.”

easyJet and easyJet Holidays have introduced a Book with Confidence Promise to reassure customers on their travel plans. The pledge guarantees that flight and package prices will not increase in price once booked and confirms that easyJet intends to operate a full schedule across its network, despite competitors cutting routes, as easyJet prepares to fly over 50 million passengers this summer.

easyJet serves three airports in Northern Ireland, Belfast International, Belfast City Airport, and City of Derry Airport, offering over 55 routes to 45 destinations in 17 countries across Europe and North Africa, and has flown nearly 82 million customers since operations began.
