A rush to purchase ‘Buy To Let’ properties before a stamp duty hike arrives in April is boasting the Belfast property market!
AMPMni are currently seeing a lot more investors snapping up potential investment properties than usual, at this time of year. This is due to a new 3% stamp duty surcharge on purchases of additional residential properties over £40,000, on top of the existing stamp duty rates. Which has see increased number of sales over the December/January period and forecast to continue into March, driving house prices up in a normally quiet time.
All this is means that it is a great time to be putting a house on the market, especially if you are hoping for a quick sale. All sales must be complete by the start of April to avoid the increase of fees.
AMPMni are at the forefront of the ‘Buy To Let’ market in East Belfast and have numerous investors, actively looking purchase investment properties now.
