Holding Space: Join Yoga Quarter’s Autumn Retreat

05/08/2026

There are so many reasons to book a retreat.

A yoga retreat is time to pause. It is a place where you can feel listened to, mentally nurtured and physically nourished.

It brings people together with the shared intention of being present and taking time away from their busy lives.

Through yoga, nourishing food, time in nature and supportive community, there is space to rest, reset and restore your energy.

At Yoga Quarter, we hold space both for people who have enjoyed many retreats over the years and those who may be venturing on their very first one.

A house made for slowing down

Temple House is a Georgian country house, grand but wonderfully welcoming, with roaring fires, warm colours and comforting food.

A sweeping drive welcomes you, while the ruins of a Knights Templar castle still stand at the water’s edge, where they have watched the seasons turn since the twelfth century. For one weekend, the whole house is ours.

This is a place that begins to slow you down before you have even unpacked. Lake views greet you from your window, fires are lit and the grand yet welcoming rooms, filled with inviting sofas and quiet corners, encourage you to settle in and simply be.

Long corridors, high ceilings and the gentle hush of an old country house at rest create an immediate sense of calm.

Outside, the grounds invite you to wander and explore. Or you can stay exactly where you are, enjoying the views across the lake from the warmth and comfort of the house.

Holding Space

Join Susan McEwen, founder of Yoga Quarter in Belfast, and her team for a restorative autumn weekend at Temple House in County Sligo.

Across the weekend, we will move, breathe, rest and reconnect through gentle yoga and yoga Nidra, with plenty of time to enjoy the house and grounds. No previous yoga or retreat experience is needed.

The rhythm of the weekend

Friday

Arrive from 3pm, settle into your room and ease into the weekend with a gentle yoga practice and yoga Nidra by the fire.

Saturday

Begin the day with morning yoga, followed by a spacious afternoon to walk, rest or simply do nothing.

There will also be an optional Root to Rise experience combining scent, movement and mindfulness. We will come together again for dinner and evening yoga Nidra.

Sunday

Enjoy a slow morning and a final gentle practice, helped along by the clocks going back and the gift of an extra hour in bed.

There will also be an optional visit to the VOYA Seaweed Baths in Strandhill, followed by lunch and a beach walk, weather permitting. The seaweed baths cost €45 per person.
