Down Royal Racecourse is set to bring together the thrill of live racing and a top-class DJ set finale with the launch of Racing & Raving, an exciting race evening sponsored by Ampion Electrical Testing and Solar, taking place on Friday 17th July.
Doors open at 3.30pm, with a full card of racing throughout the evening. Once the last race has run, Down Royal will transform into a live music venue for all racegoers, with Richie Blaker taking to the stage at 8.30pm for a two-hour set, bringing the curtain down on the evening in style.
Richie Blaker has built a reputation as one of Northern Ireland’s most exciting live performers, with a journey that has taken him from the Telegraph Building to the global stage. His high-energy sets have made him a firm favourite on the live circuit, and he’s set to bring that same energy to Down Royal for Racing & Raving.
The new fixture is designed to offer racegoers the best of both worlds, competitive racing followed by a lively, festival-style atmosphere, making it an ideal night out for friends, families and colleagues alike.
Chloe Ferris, Commercial Director at Down Royal Racecourse, said: “We’re delighted to launch Racing & Raving in partnership with Ampion Testing. It’s a fresh addition to our racing calendar and a great excuse to stay on after the last race for a great night out. With Richie Blaker headlining, we’re expecting a brilliant atmosphere, and we’d encourage racegoers to make a full evening of it on 17th July.”
Conor Kelly, Director at Ampion Electrical Testing and Solar said: “Ampion is really pleased to be sponsoring Racing & Raving at Down Royal. It’s exactly the kind of event we love being part of – bringing people together for a great evening of racing that turns into an even better night. We can’t wait to see everyone there.”
Racing & Raving takes place at Down Royal Racecourse on Friday 17th July, with doors opening at 3.30pm. Richie Blaker will perform from 8.30pm until 10.30pm following the final race, with the performance open to all racegoers.
