M&S SET TO TRANSFORM ALDERGROVE STORE

22/04/2026

Marks & Spencer has unveiled plans to renew its Aldergrove store, transforming it into a larger, modern Foodhall and creating up to 25 new roles for the local community.

The renewal will see the Aldergrove store extend into the existing service station, doubling the size of the M&S Foodhall, with work on the scheme having commenced this week.

Customers can look forward to a new layout, including a bigger in‑store bakery and upgraded coffee‑to‑go facilities with two machines. The store will introduce a new frozen food range for the first time, as well as over 2,000 new lines of the delicious products M&S customers know and love, including its popular ‘Food to Go’ range, which features an assortment of salads and sandwiches, with locally sourced options from Newry‑based supplier Around Noon.

The store will continue to offer convenient meal choices such as Collection Wood‑fired pizzas and ready‑meals, complemented by over 100 Remarkable Value everyday staples.

The store will also feature additional self‑checkout tills, while the popular Click & Collect service will continue to be available.

M&S Aldergrove Store Manager David Brady said:

“We’re excited to be investing in our Aldergrove store and creating a bigger, more modern Foodhall for our customers. These improvements will allow us to offer an even wider range of great quality and trusted value food in a fresh, convenient environment, and will create up to 25 new roles right here in the local area.”

The Aldergrove renewal forms part of M&S’s ongoing store rotation programme, focused on creating bigger, fresher Food stores in the right locations, with modern layouts and the latest M&S format that meets changing customer needs.
