The Ivy Belfast Brasserie has welcomed back its much-loved Taste of Ireland menu with a host of new additions. Perfect for leisurely lunches, early dinners or relaxed evening dining, the menu offers guests the opportunity to enjoy two beautifully curated courses for just £20.95, with the option to add a dessert for an additional £5. A celebration of exceptional local produce, the Taste of Ireland menu is available all day, every day from 11.30am to close.
The starter selection showcases bold flavours and thoughtful combinations, from the comforting Irish Stout and Onion Soup, topped with a wheaten soda bread croutons and gratinated Dromona cheddar, to the vibrantTamarind, Beetroot and Endive Salad with candied pecans, red chicory, kohlrabi, cranberries and apple cider dressing. Other standout dishes includeSilver Hill Duck Croquettes made with hoisin, cucumber and mooli and finished with yuzu mayo, and Hot Smoked Salmon Rillettes made with Walter Ewing’s smoked salmon, creamy avocado, Burren Balsamic citrus pearls and wheaten soda bread.
For the main event, the Taste of Ireland menu delivers comforting classics alongside lighter, contemporary options. The ever-popular Ivy Shepherd’s Pie features slow-braised Glenarm lamb and beef, topped with aged Dromona cheddar mash and finished with rosemary and red wine sauce. Seafood-lovers will enjoy Walter Ewing’s Smoked Haddock and Salmon Fishcake, served with a perfectly poached free-range Cavanagh hen’s egg and a crushed pea and herb sauce. Vegetarian diners are catered for with the Chargrilled Halloumi, paired with giant couscous, smoked aubergine, Padrón peppers, pomegranate, toasted almonds and Velvet Cloud labneh. For an added indulgence, guests can upgrade to the Chargrilled John Stone Bistro Steak, served with garlic butter, Koffman’s fries, Diane sauce and crispy onions, for a supplement of £4.95.
To finish with something sweet, diners can opt to add a delicious dessert for just £5. Choices include a rich and smoothBailey’s Caramel Chocolate Mousse with Oreo crumb, caramelised hazelnuts and chocolate shards; Frozen Berries with Drayne’s coconut ice cream and white chocolate sauce; Kearney Blue Cheese from the Castlereagh Hills served with Ballylisk oat crackers, apple and celery; or a selection of Drayne’s Farm Ice-Creams and Sorbets in house flavours such as passionfruit, raspberry, salted caramel and lemon, served with homemade butter shortbread.
