M&S Food teams up with X Factor’s Diana Vickers & songwriter Chiara Hunter as they launch the official version of THAT viral Picky Bits song to mark FIRST EVER National Picky Bits Day on Friday 27th June 2025
With this week set to be the biggest week for sales of ‘picky bits’ so far this year, M&S Food is declaring 27th June 2025 as the inaugural National Picky Bits Day this Friday to celebrate the nation’s love of a summery picky tea.
To mark the occasion, M&S Food is teaming up with songwriter duo Ki and Dee (Diana Vickers and Chiara Hunter) whose recent viral social media hit ‘It’s The Season Of The Picky Bits’ is currently taking the internet by storm with over 4million views across Instagram and TikTok.
M&S Food has achieved cult status as the home of picky bits in recent years, with its popular 3 for £8 deal a favourite of those heading to parks and picnics or on long train journeys. M&S sees shoppers snapping up two pots of picky bits or dips every second, totalling 70 million packs sold every year – that’s enough to stretch from London to Barcelona and back four times!
Though many shoppers flock to the aisles for their olives and dips when the warm weather arrives, the great British public say that the picky tea isn’t just for sunny days! In a recent poll on the @marksandspencerfood Instagram channel, 79% of fans said weather doesn’t matter when it comes to the best time to enjoy a picky tea, while 79% said they would have picky bits indoors. And three quarters (75%) admitted they just go with the flow when planning their spreads, whatever the weather!
