M&S submits planning application for new flagship Foodhall at Lakelands Retail Park, Enniskillen

01/05/2026

Marks & Spencer and Elm Grange Ltd has submitted a planning application to Fermanagh and Omagh District Council for a new, state‑of‑the‑art Foodhall at Lakelands Retail Park, Enniskillen, as part of M&S’s ongoing store rotation programme.

The application is for a new, purpose‑built M&S Foodhall within the retail park, designed to offer customers a high‑quality, accessible and enjoyable shopping environment. The store will feature a fresh market‑style Foodhall offering a wide range of M&S food, including fresh produce, bakery items, chilled meals and trusted value groceries.

The scheme aims to enhance the local retail offer while supporting the needs of the growing Enniskillen community. By moving to a modern, fit‑for‑purpose location, M&S aims to ensure it remains a key part of the Enniskillen retail landscape for the long term.

M&S currently supports 68 jobs in its Enniskillen store, all of which are expected to be retained as part of the move, alongside several additional roles at the new location.

Ryan Lemon, M&S Regional Manager for Northern Ireland, said:

“Submitting this planning application marks an important step in our ambition to bring a new, modern Foodhall to Enniskillen, with a focus on great quality, trusted value and delicious food our customers know and love.

Moving to Lakelands Retail Park will allow us to offer a fresh, market-style shopping experience in a larger, more accessible space, while retaining our existing team. We’re proud of the role M&S plays in the community and look forward to this next chapter in Enniskillen.”

Subject to planning permission, M&S aims to open the new store next year.
