One of Northern Ireland’s most highly anticipated Christmas events is returning to Antrim Castle Gardens this December, with plenty of festive fun and new surprises for visitors to enjoy.
From 2 to 28 December, Antrim Castle Gardens will sparkle and glow as it is transformed into the magical Enchanted Winter Garden.
Thousands of families and friends are expected to visit the popular festive attraction, with something for everyone to enjoy. Stroll along the Enchanted Way and take in spectacular lighting displays, enjoy tasty treats at the Festive Food Fayre or take to the skies on the Giant Wheel. There will also be plenty of thrills on the Wave Swinger, along with new rides added to this year’s line-up and the chance to meet Santa in his grotto. Due to popular demand, the event will once again continue after Christmas, with the Grinch making a welcome return after Santa has headed back to the North Pole.
An Evening of Inclusive Enchantment will take place on Thursday 3 and Wednesday 9 December, offering a more relaxed experience with reduced capacity, static lighting, lower sound levels, sensory and quiet rooms, and slower-paced rides. Mobility scooters and wheelchairs will be available to hire by appointment, with Changing Places facilities also available on site.
Free shuttle buses will run from The Junction Retail and Leisure Park, providing a convenient service directly to the entrance of Antrim Castle Gardens.
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Henry Cushinan, said “Enchanted Winter Garden is a wonderful way for families and friends to come together. I look forward to welcoming visitors to Antrim and Newtownabbey to experience the festive atmosphere and all that our Borough has to offer this Christmas.”
