SuperValu Kings Road, Belfast Honoured Among the Best in UK

SuperValu Kings Road, Belfast was honoured last night in London at the 2019 Retail Industry Awards, named ‘highly commended’ for National Lottery Retailer Of The Year.

The store was among a number of Centra and SuperValu stores honoured at the prestigious awards. Centra Northern Ireland took home the coveted title of Convenience Retailer of the Year and Lilley’s Centra, Enniskillen was named Food-to-go Retailer of the Year; meanwhile Bradley’s Centra Maghera, Centra Banbridge, and SuperValu Omagh were all highly commended in their categories.

Speaking today, Michael McCormack, Managing Director of Centra in Northern Ireland said:

 “To have received two awards and be highly commended in a number of categories is a huge achievement for everyone associated with both Centra and SuperValu and is testament to the hard work that has been put in by our teams at a national level.

 “I would like to congratulate all of the staff of SuperValu Kings Road for their dedication to providing first-class customer service in every aspect of the business. It is fantastic to see their efforts recognised on a national stage.”

 Widely regarded as ‘The Oscars’ of the grocery sector, the Retail Industry Awards reward excellence and outstanding achievement across a broad range of categories, recognising independent convenience retailers alongside the large supermarket groups.
