Mayor Raises £981 for Charities at Shopping Centre Bucket Collection

The Mayor of Ards and North Down, Alderman Bill Keery, took part in a bucket collection last Saturday with a team of volunteers to raise money for his four selected charities – Air Ambulance NI, Bangor Sea Cadets, Decorum NI and Flourish NI.

They spent a day at Tesco, Castlebawn, offering to help customers pack their bags. A total of £981.78p was raised for their efforts. All monies raised during the Mayoral year will be split equally between the four charities at the end of the Mayor’s term.
