Fun at the farm in Cultra for the annual Horse Ploughing and Country Skills Day

Ulster Folk & Transport Museum gets set for a day of competition – of the heavy horse kind, at the Horse Ploughing and Country Skills Day. On Saturday 17 February Ploughmen from across Northern Ireland and England will compete with magnificent, heavy horses complete with traditional harness and ploughs. Visitors to the event can also enjoy hands-on activities including farrier and blacksmith work, open hearth baking, traditional threshing, horse grooming, donkey work and loy digging.
