22nd September – Holywood Culture Night

Already established as a coastal foodie haven, Holywood will be serving up a menu of a different kind this September 22.

The return of Culture Night Holywood will be a feast for all the senses with a jam-packed programme of free events taking place in the heart of the seaside town that’s set to get pulses racing.

Speaking about this year’s plans, John Woods of Holywood Shared Town, said: “Now in our 5th year, Holywood Culture Night continues to grow year on year as a highlight in the town’s annual events calendar.

“The theme for this year’s event is ‘Holywood a la carte’ and it really will be a tempting spread of free entertainment catering for all ages.

“The events programme is being finalised and details will be announced at the end of the summer – it will be a celebration of all things cultural with a refreshing Holywood twist including a selection of new ‘tasty’ activities from a pop-up cinema to a street ceili! Simply come to Holywood High Street from 6-9pm on September 22 for a slice of the action!

“We’d like to thank all our volunteers and partners for supporting Culture Night and making it such an exciting occasion. We’d also love to hear from any local businesses interested in playing their part this year. With Culture Night bringing hordes of people into the town, it’s a great way to raise your profile, strengthen connections with the local community and reap the rewards! – just email holywoodculturenight@gmail.com.

“We are also encouraging retailers to join our Culture Night Window Display Competition, especially on the high street that’s sure to get the creative juices flowing and spark some friendly competition going between local businesses,” said John.
